A representative delegation of scientists from the Jozef Goluchowski University of Applied Sciences from Ostrowiec Świętokrzyski visited our academy on a business visit under the ERASMUS+ international exchange programme. This Polish higher education institution was represented by the rector of the academy Pawel Gotowiecki, deputy vice-rector for quality of education Stefan Suska, head of the Faculty of National Security Pawel Loranty, doctor of economics of the Faculty of Economics and Finance Wojciech Liсhota.

The visit began with an in-depth conversation, in which the BIA was represented by the Chairman of the Senate Stanislav Buka, the acting rector Svetlana Smane, the vice-rector for international relations Inta Buka, the vice-rector for scientific work Vladislav Volkov, the head of doctoral studies Tatyana Yurkevich, the head of the study direction “Jurisprudence” Irina Gaft, director of the Scientific Library Natalia Gratkovskaya.

During the conversation, both sides stated that both universities have a lot of interesting and useful things to share with each other and to take a number of measures to expand the scope of mutually beneficial cooperation. In particular, it is planned to organise a permanent exchange of students and lecturers in the framework of the ERASMUS+ programme and to create conditions for students to undergo internships at both universities. The placement of publications in scientific journals of universities will be useful. The proposal to organise joint summer and distance learning schools was also supported.

The meeting of the Polish guests with the heads of study programmes and directions was also beneficial. The guests got acquainted with the academy’s learning system, educational centres, the BiArt student art gallery and invited our staff to make a return visit to the Jozef Goluchowski University of Applied Sciences in Ostrowiec.
