We have a tradition at the academy, which is conducting winter intake for students. Intake allows applicants, both Latvian and foreign, who for some reason did not have time to enroll to the BIA at the beginning of the academic year, to catch up. They can enroll in any of the programs accredited by the academy, however, of course, their studies will last a semester longer.

We asked the head of the Admissions Committee, Marina Likhushina, to tell us how the winter intake is going this year.

She noted that as usually foreign applicants are active. They have a longer paperwork process, and they have started sending applications in November. At the beginning of December, more than a hundred applications have already been received from the applicants from Cameroon, Nigeria, Egypt, Nepal, Uzbekistan and other countries. In December, we started accepting applications from residents of Latvia as well. This year, Covid does not disturb us, and we can communicate with each applicant personally, giving a consultation.

Winter intake for foreigners will last until December 15, and for residents of Latvia until February 1. More detailed admission requirements can be found at the BIA webpage: bsa.edu.lv in the “Admission process” section. Application documents can also be sent to the Admissions Office by scan via e-mail: This email address is being protected from spambots.
