The traditional Major Spring Exhibition of Fine Arts, which was organised by the student gallery BiArt, aroused keen interest at our Baltic International Academy. On three floors, over a hundred paintings of artists from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, diverse in subject matter and technique, are presented. There are many well-known names among them – Edgar Mickelson, Nukzar Paksadze, Babken Stepanyan, Vladimir Pavlov, Alyona Savyuk, Irina Trumpele. The exposition is complemented by the works of photographers Vladimir Starkov, Yulia Shved, Georgy Aleksikov.

We are happy about the growing popularity of our student gallery, Valentin Danilenko, its permanent curator and a member of the Union of Artists of Latvia noted when opening the exhibition. At our gallery, the works of both acknowledged masters and beginners are appreciated.

This was evidenced also by the presentation of diplomas of the laureates of the exhibition. They are already well-known artists Nadezhda Kolesnikova and Gitana Kaltemene and eight-year-old Aisha Abduyeva, the finding of our student gallery.

The exhibition is located in the BIA building on Lomonosova Street 1/4 and will be open until May 8.
