This year, the creative ties between our BiArt student gallery and the educational institutions of Siauliai have become notably stronger. In February, together with the Lithuanians, it organised a personal exhibition of works by the Latvian artist Maria Matveyeva at the Siauliai State College. In April, with the help of our student gallery and its head, a member of the Latvian Artists’ Union Valentin Danilenko, our Baltic International Academy hosted a photo exhibition of works by students of this college.

In May, at the invitation of the Lithuanians, exhibitions of works by Alyona Savyuk, who previously exhibited them at the BIA, were opened at the Siauliai State College and Siauliai University. At the request of Lithuanian friends, she held a masterclass in oriental painting, as she had done previously at the academy, and donated one of her paintings to Siauliai University.

Silvia Adomaviciene, a representative of the management of the Siauliai State College, noted that this masterclass will remain in the memory of its participants for a long time, as it helped them discover a new view on oriental painting and their creative abilities. She thanked Alyona Savyuk and Valentin Danilenko for organising an informative and impressive exhibition.
