The traditional exhibition “The World of Colours” organised by the student gallery “BiArt” aroused great interest of students, lecturers and guests of our Baltic International Academy. This is indeed an extravaganza of various colours, themes, formats, styles, performance techniques, worldviews.

This year, the audience will see over a hundred works by 82 artists and photographers from Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Korea. Among them are such well-known artists as Edgar Mickelson, Nikolai Krivoshein, Nukzar Paksadze, Valentin Danilenko, Vladimir Pavlov and others. Almost half of the participants are debutants of this exhibition. The youngest of them, Janna Zalmane from the studio “Krāsu deja”, is only seven years old. And eight-year-old Aisha Abduyeva participates in this exhibition for the second time.

Colourful realistic and abstract paintings are well complemented by artistic photographs by Evgeny Pugin, Kristina Lyakhova, Vladimir Starkov and Emma Jenifer from Korea, who was awarded a diploma for a successful debut. Guntars Svikis was awarded the same diploma for his debut in painting. Alyona Savyuk received a diploma for a special handwriting in drawing, and Anatoly Borodkin was awarded a diploma for mastery in watercolour.

When opening the exhibition, the coordinator of the student gallery BiArt, a member of the Union of Latvian Artists Valentin Danilenko cordially congratulated the artists, wished them new creative successes and presented certificates of the participants of the exhibition.

The exhibition is located in the BIA building at 1/4 Lomonosova Street and will run until July 7th.
